Oh I just love when new Virgin Islands (non tourist) things come to the island. A company out of Jamaica called RepJa (put on yah accent is their tagline-Love it!) is now introducting a new t-shirt and a hat line at Urban Threadz here in Saint Thomas and Saint Croix too. The women's shirts are babydoll style coming in pastel colors like pink, purple, orange and yellow while the men's shirts are hot red, yellow and black. They also have VI hip hop/baseball caps that are cool for men (no women yet).
I ran into the Urban Threadz store here (next to Hooters of all places) yesterday and picked up a light Pink one for myself and a purple one for my girlfriend Tracy in California who is obsessed with purple, as I am pink. I can't wait to wear it and I will make sure my hair is up in a ponytail so you will be able to read the VI Till I Die that is on the upper back part of the shirt.
I am going to contact the company and suggest they make womens caps with the VI on them for us girls.
