I heard from my stateside friends that Starbucks was already serving up those yummy pumpkin lattes they do each fall. Oh sometimes I really miss those coffee drinks, but we have a little coffee cart place here in American Yacht Harbor that serves up a good one. This morning I was thinking about how great one of those drinks would be (and certainly give me enough energy to complete some things on my to-do list) so I drove across the island to get one.
My opening line to the coffee cart man was "A great rumor is going around that you serve a mean pumpkin spice latte!" and much to my disappointment, he said "we don't have our syrup ordered yet, it's going to be a few weeks!". My heart sunk and I tried to plead with him that it's FALL in other parts of the world and I really needed that pumpkin latte but he didn't have anything close to pumpkin so I settled for a hazelnut one and left dreaming of the pumpkin one I didn't get. I guess I will just have to wait a few weeks.
I just love the sign that is placed up where you order your coffee drinks that says "unattended children will be give an esspresso and a free puppy!"
I will be running on this caffeine for a while today.
