8 tuff miles in St. John 2/19/10
Saint John (and Saint Thomas too of course) is busy, busy, busy these days coming off (what I think is the busiest week of the whole year even over Thanksgiving and Christmas), Presidents week. The harbor in Saint John was so packed with charter boats and rentals on Friday, that we couldn't even pull up to the dock where we normal go but I had to be let out at the National Park area only reserved for their boats (which they don't like at all but were nice about it at least).
Trying to unload 4 heavy boxes off a boat was a bit of challenge not being tied up to the dock but I got it done all to realize that I forgot my personal dolly to use to carry them to the stores. Ugh.Thank goodness my stores have one to lend me.
The 10th annual blues festival (March) AND 8 tuff miles race is coming up in St. John at the end of this month and preperations are already being made for it. One of these years I will make it to walk or run in the 8 tuff miles ( I know, I know, I said that same thing last year). This year, I have an excuse, my toe is broken. Guess it will have to be next year.
