Our storm shutters got up (thanks to our handyman, Doug) the day before St. Thomas was pounded by hurrican Earl going by as a catagory 4 storm. There were tons of branches, trees, and debris down and powerlines came down with them but the house stayed in one piece and is fine. Thank goodness for metal panels covering all the windows. The landscaper is gunna have a nice extra job to do to clean up the yard for sure. Looks like the panels will be up most of the month during this extra active season.
From what I hear, Anagada and Tortola got the worst of it. Hope my friends are all safe! We shall see what the next few storms do and hopefully they just pass on by vs. over St. Thomas.
