Here is my new Welcome Pineapple just added to the website as a product. Since the pineapple is the universal symbol of hospitality, friendship and welcome, it's only fitting that I added it to my list of fun things to make don't you think? We see the pineapple symbol in the Caribbean, painted on furniture, doors, and artwork to welcome people into your home.
The symbolism goes back to a time when pineapples were very rare extravagances, and ...thus a real coup to offer up at a house party or dinner. (If only it was that easy today huh?) Christopher Columbus’ crew appears to have been the first Europeans to come across pineapples in the Caribbean in 1493. The symbol and tasty fruit have been going strong ever since. I just love them, especially grilled!
Here is my newest sand pineapple which I had been working on for a while but got an order for one so now it's officially done. Hope you like it.
