It seemed as though the ships leaving the harbor of Saint Thomas tonight were just coming and coming and coming, one after another! We usually see one right after another but these were all in the same area all at the same time as if they were racing to see who could get out fastest. There were 6 ships in, setting a record number of cruise ship passengers in port, and breaking the 20,000 mark for the first time! It was a good thing I didn't have to go anywhere near town yesterday to run arrends or shop. Wow, that is a ton of people, litterally. It's because 2 of the ships are of the largest in the world.

While they were leaving the harbor, the RCL Pearl was in the lead and then all of a sudden it stopped and seem to be listing to the right for about 1/2 hour. We just watched and watched it to see what was going on and then finally it started to move again (after all the other ships had passed her) out to sea. I bet half of the passengers didn't even know what was going on. ha!

I am so happy that folks on the cruise lines are getting to experience St. Croix these days roo as a cruise ship port of call. They will be getting 6 ships for the month of April including Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

The USVI love cruise ships and the tourist they bring!
